This series consists of moving images documenting activities in, and related to, the National Park system. Subjects include: camping, hiking, geology and wildlife. Over 550 sites are represented in these records. There are also textual records associated with a large percentage of these moving images including production notes, permissions and other documentation. While the Harpers Ferry Center was created in 1970 some items date back to as early as 1917.

The Harpers Ferry Center (HFC) is the National Park Service's (NPS) Media Center which creates a variety of interpretive tools to assist NPS field interpreters.
